The Belle City

Rooted in industry.
Renewed by the lake.

Search Homes

Set where the Root River meets Lake Michigan, Racine is Wisconsin's fifth-largest city and a place of proud neighborhoods, celebrated design and an enduring waterfront spirit.

Founded by European-American settlers in the 1830s and incorporated as a city in 1848, Racine grew into an inventive manufacturing center. S.C. Johnson's Frank Lloyd Wright–designed campus helped put Racine on the world architecture map. Today its harbor, beaches, museums and compact downtown give that industrious history a fresh, livable rhythm.
